Conference Highlights

Some of the Highlights of Lighting Africa 2008 included:

• The Lighting Africa Conference and Knowledge Exchange- sharing information on issues related to the scale up of non-fossil based lighting products and services in areas such as market research, business planning and support, financing facilitation, product quality, standards and certification, etc.

• The Lighting Africa Development Marketplace (DM) Grant Competition, where an international panel of jurors selected 16 innovative winners for the design and delivery of low cost, high quality, non-fossil based lighting products and services targeting low income consumers in Sub-Saharan Africa.
