In January 2012 Lighting Africa plans to update its Quality Assurance (QA) Framework based on program experience and stakeholder input from across the value chain. Quality Assurance is a cornerstone of the Lighting Africa program. The updates will potentially include changes to each aspect of the Framework:

• Minimum Quality Standards
• Recommended Performance Targets
• Quality Test Procedures
• Standardized Specifications Sheet Contents

As part of the process, there is an opportunity for you and other stakeholders to provide comments in two phases.  The details on the process and how to get involved are at www.lightingafrica.org/qa-stakeholders.

The initial feedback period lasts until January 16, 2012. After that, Lighting Africa will hold a web conference to present a draft set of recommended changes. You will have another chance to comment after that, during the week of January 30 – February 3. We expect the final updates to be adopted shortly afterward.
